Kommunikationsmodell

Als Kommunikationsmodell bzw. Kommunikationstheorie bezeichnet man wissenschaftliche Erklärungsversuche zur Beschreibung von Kommunikation. Diese theoretischen Ansätze sollen erklären, was Kommunikation ist und wie sie funktioniert. Weder die Kommunikations- noch die Medienwissenschaften haben jedoch bisher eine einheitliche Theorie entwickelt.

Differenzierungsbereiche

Unter den zahlreichen Ansätzen werden vor allem folgende Kommunikationsmodelle und -theorien unterschieden:
