Chop Suey

Chop suey (杂碎；) ist ein Gericht, das vermutlich 1896 von einem Koch des damaligen chinesischen Diplomaten in den USA, Li Hung-Chang, erfunden wurde.

Es besteht aus verschiedenen Gemüsen wie Bambussprossen, Sojabohnenkeimen und Pilzen und kann auch dünne Scheiben von Schweine-, Rind- oder Hühnerfleisch enthalten. Heute ist es in vielen westlichen Ländern als Gericht chinesischer Art bekannt, nicht jedoch in der Volksrepublik China selbst.
